Ghosts investigation? Are you serious?
Absolutely. We take our investigations very seriously.Our investigations are professional, conducted from a scientific approach, respectful, and of course free of charge to our clients. We use the latest equipment in an attempt to document the reported activity and we investigate each location for any possible reasonable explanation for what someone may be experiencing. Our main purpose is to help those living in a haunted home or working in a haunted business understand and cope with the phenomena.We provide our clients with the education, research tools, understanding and compassion that they need. We will do whatever is needed to help our clients who have found themselves in this situation. All investigations remain confidential unless our client expressly allows us to release information. Do Ghost Really Exist? That is the question people have been asking since the beginning of time. Although many people have claimed to see a ghost, there is no evidence that they really exist. However, there is also no evidence that ghosts do not exsist. There really isn't any "yes or no" answer to this question yet. It all depends on your personal belief. Is your evidence authentic? Yes! We do everything we can to assure that the evidence we collect is authentic and has not been altered in any way.When we are taking pictures we are very aware of the working conditions around us and what effect those conditions may have on our photography. We are always testing our equipment to make sure that it is working like it should. We strongly disagree with presenting false positives to clients simply to give them something interesting. If we find nothing, we often try again, but we will NEVER fake evidence!! I think I want my location investigated, but I'm not comfortable with a bunch of strangers wondering my property when I'm not there. Can I stay during the investigation? We do not expect our clients to leave their property during an investigation. Whether they stay or not is completely up to the client, but most people do prefer sticking around and watching the investigation. On rare occassion, our clients will even join in part of the investigation! Although we are not investigating in order to entertain anyone, our clients have always seemed to fully enjoy the investigation experience. How long can I expect an investigation to take? The length of an investigation depends on several things: The size of the location, when the activity is taking place, etc. Some investigations can be one evening and some can be multiple days or visits. This is something you may want to plan on if you are indeed serious about finding answers. We will work with you to provide you the best service we can How should I prepare for an investigation? We want to cause as little impact to the normal course of your evening as possible but for the safety and comfort of our team and our clients, we do have a few requests from our clients during an investigation: 1) We ask that the pets and children are quiet, or not present at the location. 2)We prefer the location to be as quiet as possible so the our evidence is not contaminated, so we ask that our clients do not have guests at the location, or at least, keep guests at a minimum. 3) We do request that the location be safely uncluttered, and moderately clean. 4) Our team also appreciates that for the duration of our investigation, our clients refrain from smoking as this can damage our equipment, and affects any possible evidence we collect. 5) We ask that there is no consumption of alcohol and/or drug use while WHP is at the location performing our investigation. Who can request an investigation? You must be the renter of a location, owner, or a member of management who has the authority to allow and investigation. You must also be a position to sign a release allowing us to investigate the location. How often do you investigate? Depends. The reason for this is that the investigation night is only a small part of our full investigation; which includes researching the history of the location, evidence review, and at times, a second trip to the location for the sake of further debunking possible evidence. Each investigation requires an average of two and a half to three weeks to complete. Can I become a member of the team? Absolutely! We do ask that you are serious about what we are doing, can be an active participant and are able to represent yourself in a professional manner. Being able to get along with people of all different backgrounds and beliefs is also a huge plus. We are looking for the best, but we are certainly willing to train any new potential members. If you are interested in joining the team it is recommended that you fill out the contact form and our team will contact you. What are orbs? The downside to capturing an "orb" on film is that there can be many other explanations for this. Reflected light, water spots, dust, etc can all cause orbs to appear. None of these things are paranormal in nature. WHP does not consider orbs to be actual evidence of paranormal activity. I often smell unexplained scents in my home such as cologne, perfume, flowers, etc... Can you explain this? This could be a classic sign of a haunting. This is often reported when there is nothing else in the environment that could have naturally caused this smell. It could be your friendly neighborhood ghost saying hello! When is the best time to do an investigation? Anytime of course! According to popular belief, a paranormal experiences are most likely to occur between the hours of midnight and 3 AM. We will conduct the investigation based on when the activity occurs. We do prefer to investigate at night simply because there is less activity during the nighttime hours and less possibility of contamination of any evidence we may collect. Also, because its dark, we can pick up any sources of light better at night. |
What kind of cases do you accept?
We will consider any case regarding the possibility of haunting or other paranormal activity related to a haunting. Do you charge for your services? We do not charge for our services. We do this because we want to help others furthering our knowledge of the supernatural. How do you determine which cases you will accept? The location of the investigation is the primary item we look at when determining what case we will accept. Before we go to any property to investigate, we would need signed permission from the property owner. We prioritize our cases to provide those who need help and are scared first, especially those involving children. If your case is determined to be urgent and we are for some reason not able to provide immediate service, we would help you find another group who could help you. What services do you offer? We will provide a thorough investigation to determine the existence of paranormal activity. If found to have activity, we will do our best to assist you in the course of action you can take. Will you tell me if my house is haunted? Our main goal is to investigate the claims that are made and determine what is causing that activity whether it be true paranormal activity or by some other cause. We will come into the investigation with the mission to disprove the claims rather than prove the claims. This ensures that a thorough investigation is done for you and that every aspect of the claims is checked out. There are times that we will find evidence to support the claims made by you and there are times we find other explanations for what you are experiencing. Our goal is to help you get the answers to your questions. If I believe my house is haunted, and I am in need of your services, what do I do before you come? The best thing to do is keep a journal of the activity that is occurring. Be as accurate as possible. Include the type of activity, the day, the time, and who witnessed the activity. Will any of my information or the investigation findings be made public? Everything about your case will remain as confidential as you want. Some people let us post evidence as long as names and addresses are kept confidential. Others don’t mind any information released, and there are some that don’t want anything released. That is YOUR option. All evidence collected remains property of White Haven Paranormal. We will work with you to provide you the best service we can, but copies are made available to you upon your request. Does your group utilize Ouija Boards or Séances in your investigations? No, we do not use Ouija Boards or utilize séances in our investigations. If I have any other questions, how can I contact you? Any questions can be submitted to us using the Contact Form. What equipment do you use while investigating? We have an ever growing list of equipment that we use during an investigation. We use digital cameras, digital video recording system, camcorders, digital audio recorders, digital thermometers, EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors, motion detectors, full- spectrum cameras, batteries... lots and lots of batteries, flashlights, laptop computers, laser grids, and the list is always growing. Are you afraid of being hurt by a ghost? While there is always the possibility of running into a malevolent spirit while on an investigation, we understand that this is extremely rare. We are also fully aware of the risks we take when investigating and are prepared to deal with it should this situation present itself. Are you afraid of a ghost following you home? Even though we conduct each investigation from a scientific stand point, we all come from different backgrounds and religious beliefs. Each member does what they feel is right for them to protect themselves from this occurring. We all understand that this is just another one of the risks we take by doing an investigation. Sometimes we end up bringing 'guests' home with us, but they don't usually stay for more than a couple days. Can a Ghost Harm You? Although there are some people who believe malevolent entities, or "demons", can harm you. This again, is based on your own personal belief. But an easy 99.9% of the time, if a ghost is encountered it won't harm you. Can an item be haunted? It is possible that objects can sometimes be haunted. We believe that hauntings are usually based on an emotional attachment; so if a living person was attached to an object, they may still be attached to it after their body dies. Sometimes, the memory or energy of a specific event can be absorbed into an object, creating a residual haunting. What areas do you cover? We focus most of our investigations in Northeast Pennsylvania, but we do cover other areas of PA, parts of NJ, MD,NY, & DE. If you are outside our area, we will be happy to assist you in getting in touch with a reputable team in your area that can help. Why do you investigate the paranormal? Each team member has their own personal reasons for why they investigate the paranormal, but we all share one common underlying reason: TO HELP PEOPLE. There are thousands of sane, normal, law abiding, sensible people out there who have had or are having experiences with the paranormal. We want to take a scientific approach to investigating these reports and we want to assist people with coping with these experiences in the best way possible. Why don't you charge for your services? We are a team of volunteers performing a community service. We suggest that rather than make a donation to WHP, or you can "pay it forward" by making a donation to your local food pantry or shelter or volunteer fire department. |
